Paris....

We were in Paris for an extended weekend..boy ! it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOTTTTTTTTT!! For the 1st time in my live, I had blisters on both feet! managed to do D'orsay; Louvre; Versailles; 'climb' the Arc d Triumph, took the lift la since I am preggers:)) and the boat ride on the seine . Shopping..not much choice, pretty disappointing actually. Hubby only managed to get 1 short sleeves shirt. Due to the heatwave, he wears short sleeves to work nowadays. Wasn't in the mood anyway since it was soo hot plus my arching feet. Did get a skirt from a shop called 'Balloon' :)) which was just round the corner from our hotel. Before this trip, darling hubby offered to buy me a pair of shoes but turned that down since with the baby coming and me not working, priorities!!life..

hubby at long last has managed to witness the bulges baby makes when kicking. so far, baby has been pretty cheeky i.e stops kicking when daddy wants to see it :)) ends up w hubby shaking or tapping my belly to get baby's attention :)) suffice to say we are pretty excited. insya Allah all will be ok...

looking forward to my inlaws visit in a fortnite's time. haven't seen them for yonks. unfortunately friends of theirs who have been looking forward to their visit will not be in europe then. well, maybe they could meet up at the next visit after the baby is born..

what a week....

The past week was pretty eventful..considering I am a lady of leisure with no work pressures to think about.

We had our annual Malaysian food fair last weekend. One of the ladies made roti canai including the 'tebar' bit as well..but no roti telur. So on Sun, hubby dutifully brought eggs so that he can satisfy his craving for roti telur. 3 rotis later...he was:)) Pak Mat made laksa johor...yummm.. n a pot of assam pedas for hubby, thinking that I wud love it but... Am still not a fan of assam pedas or assam laksa. So, darling hubby ate the whole pot by himself.

Bumped into van der Sar at the British School. Managed to get a piccie of him, totally forgot to get his autograph for Mat. Sorry mate! Will email the piccie once my friend emails it to me.We found out later on that the kids were given verbal instructions not to disturb him. A tad difficult isn't it since he was there standing and sticking out like a sore thumb waiting for his daughter. Later that day, we found out a dear friend of ours passed away, may he rest in peace.Mate! We will miss u loads.

Then France kicked Brazil out of the the world cup championship. Thanks to my Henry's goal....see I shud have supported France from day 1:)) England like I thought wud not make it..with a manager like erikkson, I saw no hope! Let's hope Mc Laren can do a better job.

Yesterday was another day of stuffing our faces at the British School Summer fair. Yours truly of course helped out during the week to prepare the food, so it was really nice to be able to taste the fruits of my labour. It wud be really nice if some day my kids can attend BSN..we'll see!

Another week of heatwave...quite stiffling esp since I am preggers. Looks like will have to try n stay indoors next week but easier said than done!:))
