Can't wait to go back but am definitely not looking forward to the journey..shouldn't complain really. At least it is a direct flite and we're flying MAS :))

X'mas..New Year...Eid..

I love being in Europe this time of year. The x'mas lights...Much prefer the atmosphere in London compared to Den Haag.

The x'mas markets in Germany are legendary and an event that one should try not to miss..so we have been told. And it definitely wasn't a dissapointment. Hamburg was our destination last weekend. It was cold but the atmosphere was nice n warm. We bought our gluhwein mugs without the gluhwein of course! Can't wait to use it for hot chocolate...Hamburg is a lovely city. They have lots of shopping malls which was a blessing as it was still heated even though the shops were shut..A real shopper's paradise but unfortunately the sales haven't started yet.High end merchandise as well..

It snowed on our way back...which was sooo beautiful. Had lunch in Groningen. Was amazed to find out that it was a nice city..not small..possibly bigger than The Hague.

Have started packing for our trip to M'sia this fri. Yup! We're off on another holiday :)) We'll be celebrating Eid there as well. Nice break for hubby who has been working so very hard this year.

Rain...gray...winter

We're back from the Land of the Pharoahs, pyramids, temples n tombs. In short, the trip was interesting n very enlightening albeit a tad short. There was a lot to take in.This trip definitely has sparked my interest in ancient civilisation. Yes...looks like that will be next on my reading list. Still have not finished reading about art collection at the Mesdag museum...which reminds me that I only have another 6 months on my museeumkaart, must start hitting the museums again soon. Plan to visit Panorama Mesdag after my dental appt tomorrow.

We spent 3 days in Cairo, took the sleeper train to Luxor. 2 days exploring Luxor and 1 day Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Managed to squeeze a sunset fellucca ride on the Nile. Out of all the cities, I think both hubbs n I love Luxor. Would love to go back and visit Abu Simbel, Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh but we'll see.

Looks like we are travelling a lot these few months. Egypt in nov/dec, poss Germany to visit the X'mas market Fri week and back to M'sia the following Fri. Am definitely not complaining. Think hubbs needs the break as well. He has not taken much leave this year...

One thing for sure is the fact that we are really looking forward to going back to M'sia...bro in law's engagement do, niece and nephew's b'day party...hubbs trying to squeeze in a trip to penang to savour the soft shell crabs.yum!! must make sure I exercise a lot there..
