Summer is back..

Yup! The sun is uit again..hopefully the sun will stay w us for more than week. So far, we have only had a week of summer n that was in June! The winds here make a lot of difference..I used to hate summer in London as it was soooo hot, the winds there were not as strong. Here,the sun can be shining brightly but the north wind brings the temp down by at least 5-10 graden.
Didn't manage to visit a museum last week. Was busy at the embassy helping out preparing food for Merdeka celebration...we made sate, popiahs n karipaps. Hubby was treated to a dinner of sate n karipaps yesterday..well! did offer to cook but he didn't want anything else.
Becoming more n more dutch-ifed now. Started cycling as a mode of transport. Unfortunately, due to my height hubby bought me a kiddy mountain bike. Am trying to sell him the idea that I need a city bike. The mountain bike can be pretty tiring esp since u can't cycle sitting upright. Had a backache yesterday, must be due to our sunday cycle to mariahoeve for badminton. Nope! I didn't play as there were no ladies. Didn't fancy playing w the men.
After 8 months of staying in this flat, we have managed to put up the posters n paintings. Less bare walls now. Our long awaited dining table will arrive tomorrow. Am looking forward to having dinner parties! All we need at the moment is a dressoir to put the plates. Yes! I succumbed to buying a good dinner,coffee n tea service, one of each. The sets that we invested in may be our one n only set. Not keen at getting anymore. I am happy with my IKEA set for daily use..Yup! Our IKEA house..cheap furniture! Don't knock IKEA, their stuff do last. We have some furniture items which we brought over from the London flat..they are 10 years old n still in acceptable condition! I doubt we will buy IKEA furniture in Malaysia though...to each its own..
